Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit
- Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing patient charts, updating records, and anticipating necessary services
- Provide timely communication with patients, make inquiries, and execute follow-up tasks
- Assist with scheduling tests and treatment, pre-certifying patients for hospital care and/or procedures, and processing referrals to other providers
- Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms, treatment rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and neat environment
- Responsible for successful and timely completion of work
- Readily assist others upon completion of assigned duties
- Demonstrate ability to manage priorities and balance workload
- Demonstrate competency in computer data entry
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program
- Holds National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA)
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- At least 10 months' work and/or clinical training experience in the Medical Assistant field
- Proficient in obtaining manual vital signs
- Experience using an electronic health record system
- Commitment to confidentiality and respect
- Ability to obtain and record patient data, including prior health history, family history, allergies, current medications, current complaints, and health screening questionnaires
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience assisting physicians, nurses, or other healthcare providers in performing clinical tasks and procedures
- Ability to provide patients with information related to their health and wellness
- Maintains current BLS/CPR
This role requires exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
Pay Range$26.85 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
