Duties and Responsibilities:
The PACU RN will play a crucial role in the recovery of patients from anesthesia. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring patients as they awaken from surgery until they are either discharged or transferred.
- Providing care for post-operative patients recovering from various types of anesthesia.
- Administering diligent care through monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
