Job Summary:

Hadco Metal Trading is seeking a skilled Truck Loader to join our team. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for safely offloading raw materials and completed orders from shuttle and flatbed trucks, and utilizing Excel and ERP systems to access manifests and other material documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate Forklift: Offload raw material customer orders from shuttle and load completed orders onto flatbed trucks for deliveries.
  • Material Handling: Ensure that material is loaded without damage and for optimum delivery schedules.
  • Communication: Communicate with drivers daily to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Inventory Management: Scan material documents to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize company ERP system and Excel for routing, inventory, and other necessary information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with transportation-related policies, for proper distribution of weight per DOT and government regulations.
  • Work Environment: Promote safe work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Willing and able to work Sunday-Thursday, 5:00PM-2:00AM.
  • Work History: Proven work history of commitment and dedication.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Reliability: Commitment to report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a safe forklift operator in a distribution environment preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Computer skills including Excel, ERP systems, and basic math skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb on to truck beds as needed.
  • Age: Minimum 18 years of age.
