Job SummaryThe LPN Extern will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of care services related to daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the LPN Extern will assist the nursing staff with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.
To be considered for this role, you must be currently enrolled in school to obtain LPN with Fundamentals and some clinicals completed. Additionally, you must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
