OSP Engineer Job Description

As a key member of our team at Frontier Communications, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our outside plant network. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement outside plant network infrastructure from central office to customer premise
  • Utilize current and evolving technologies, including digital loop carrier, broadband, and DSL
  • Work with other organizations throughout the provisioning process to ensure accurate design
  • Prepare designs using OSP methods and procedures and multiple databases
  • Resolve errors, assignment inventory, and DLC records, and hi-capacity circuits using service order systems
  • Oversee work of Engineering vendors as necessary to manage workload
  • Track and monitor construction and other departments to ensure timely completion of engineering work orders and plans issued

Requirements:

  • Four-year Engineering degree highly preferred but relevant experience will be strongly considered
  • 3+ years of experience designing OSP and electronic systems preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong computer skills in Window projects and ability to learn new systems
  • Driver's license

  • Salary Range: $77,000 to $141,000
