Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, assessing, organizing, and completing patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
  • Document steps of the nursing process, utilizing proper medical terminology.
  • Address problems and progress toward goals, facilitating patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate, supporting unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities.
Requirements:
  • Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
  • 0 - 6 months related experience.
Working Relationship:

Coordinates activities of others, leads others in same work performed, and works directly with patients and/or customers, as well as other healthcare professionals and staff.

Special Job Dimensions:

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA).
