Crisis Therapist Job Summary

MIND 24-7 is seeking a highly skilled Crisis Therapist to join our multidisciplinary crisis team. As a Crisis Therapist, you will provide behavioral health care to adults and youth, conducting assessments and coordinating care to ensure the most appropriate level of care in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to develop clinically safe patient dispositions.
  • Perform behavioral health assessments and coordinate admissions as necessary.
  • Make recommendations regarding patient level of care needs and resources.
  • Provide crisis stabilization therapy or intervention therapy skills during critically changing behavioral situations.
  • Communicate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient goals and objectives are clear.
  • Complete all needed documentation for behavioral services provided.
  • Participate in discharge decisions based on patient individualized treatment plan.
  • Coordinate the petition process for a patient's court-ordered evaluation, including drafting the application and serving as a court witness when subpoenaed.
  • Provide individual short-term solution-focused therapy to patients who remain on the unit for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling with LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure in the State of Arizona.
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • High comfort level with technology, including EMR, email, and software.
  • Authentic, caring, and inspiring, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and accountability.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Experience in risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis stabilization.
  • Proficiency in treating children and adult patients with various mental health conditions and life stressors.
  • Comfortable with Telehealth service delivery.
  • Ability to make high-quality clinical decisions that align with MIND 24-7's policies and procedures.
  • Committed to a high ethical standard in everything you do, working collaboratively with providers, staff, and other professional colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently.
