Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Life Support, BLS Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
