Walmart Optometrist

Overview
As an Independent Optometrist leasing space inside our Walmart stores, you will take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision health. This position offers autonomy and flexibility to establish your days of practice, hours of operation, patient schedule, and fee schedule.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$200,000, depending on experience and location. As an independent lease holder, you can opt into equipment, instrumentation, administrative support, and other services for a fair market value. You are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses, insurance, and certificates.

Job Description
You will provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat eye conditions, and recommend corrective measures such as glasses or contact lenses. As an independent practitioner, you have the freedom to establish your own practice style and focus on patient care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and adhering to relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school and be licensed to practice in the state where the Walmart store is located. An Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) degree from an accredited school is also acceptable. General liability insurance and professional liability insurance are required. A W-9 form is also necessary.
