Rehabilitation Manager

Landmark Hospital of Cape Girardeau is seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Manager to lead our dynamic Therapy department.
Job SummaryThe Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for planning, designing, directing, integrating, and coordinating services, as well as planning and implementing performance improvement activities for the therapy department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage department staff, including scheduling, timecard oversight, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as a resource person for shift members to build a stronger core staff.
- Recognize when a staff member needs additional assistance and provide support or delegate tasks to ensure patient care and safety needs are met.
- Address patient, family, nursing, or physician concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Welcome new hires, take an active role in precepting, and participate in ongoing continued education of staff as needed.
- Assess the home environment of the patient and advise on adaptive equipment or techniques to help with daily activities.
- Educate patients on compensatory strategies for memory, communication, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Help patients participate in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances.
- Review patient progress and update the plan of care and goals.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as documentation, participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, recommend equipment and continuing services, and patient/family education.
- Participate in quality performance and improvement programs related to therapy measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in a clinical setting (preferably in a hospital setting).
- Minimum of 1 year management/supervisory experience (3-5 years preferred).
- Active and unrestricted MO state licensure in Physical Therapy.
- Active BLS certification preferred (classes available).
