Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Caretaker to join our team at Real Estate Equities. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the exceptional cleanliness and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Foster positive relationships with residents and provide timely assistance to ensure their needs are met.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and stripping floors, as well as vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing rugs and carpets.
  • Apartment Turnovers: Complete apartment turn-over duties within the required timeframe, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and quality.
  • Common Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of interior and exterior common areas, including windows, walls, and doors.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Report malfunctions of amenities, fixtures, and damages to common areas to the supervisor, and assist with snow removal, sweeping, watering, and grounds upkeep.
  • Supply Management: Recommend the purchase of cleaning materials and equipment, and maintain the supply room.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: One year of previous caretaking or related cleaning experience preferred.
  • Cleaning Standards: Knowledge of cleaning standards and techniques.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, and push, as well as lift 40 pounds to chest height.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday and weekends as necessary. The successful candidate will be able to work in extremes of climate and temperature, rain, and snow.
