Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of hire and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery unit.
