Mold Design Specialist

We are a leading molding organization focused on advanced manufacturing techniques including 2-shot, insert micro, and micro molding, serving diverse sectors such as healthcare, micro-electronics, automotive components, defense, and aerospace. Our expertise encompasses design for manufacturability, tooling, mold fabrication, automation solutions, and packaging services.

In this position, you will take charge of engineering assignments related to the development of plastic injection molds. Employ a variety of machining methods to produce high-quality plastic components that align with client specifications. Provide tooling assistance across multiple divisions including engineering, production, quality assurance, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute mold design projects
  • Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of production tools and molds
  • Manufacture parts for both new and existing tools and molds utilizing tool room machinery
  • Lead projects for the construction of new tools
  • Use precision measurement tools to assess, diagnose, and resolve mold issues
  • Collaborate with project leaders to ensure timely project delivery

Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in Mold Design
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with SolidWorks
