Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and administer leave programs, maintaining detailed knowledge of all leave policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding the leave of absence process, promptly and accurately responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with third-party leave administrators to ensure consistent application of Dollar General programs.
  • Manage leave eligibility, FMLA, and ADA requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Process invoices and accruals for leave administration and disability payments, maintaining accurate records.
  • Partner with external vendors and management to ensure promptness and consistency in decision-making related to leave enrollments.
  • Oversee business processes around leave programs, including communications with employees and vendors, tracking benefit payments, and monitoring start and stop leave dates.

Requirements

  • Exceptional knowledge of laws and regulations around Leave of Absences, including FMLA and ADA requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks.
  • Good quantitative and qualitative reasoning ability, with project planning, team-work/team-building, and supervisory skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making ability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to train and advise team members on system and technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, with 2-5 years of Human Resource experience, including Payroll processes, Leave Administration, and HR systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience with training customer service, project management, and quality management, with a focus on continuous improvement.
