We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Blaine Bros Maintenance Inc. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine servicing and repairing of diesel trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Perform repair and customization work as assigned, including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
- Provide after-sale services, such as component installation.
- Inspect the overall condition of Truck and Trailer to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
- Compile inspection reports detailing their findings.
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Ensure the final work product meets quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers.
- A great work ethic.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to details.
- Clean driving record (CDL a plus).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- DOT and welding experience a plus.
- Willingness to jump in and help out where needed.
- Reliability and dedication to be a hard worker.
- Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient, and friendly work environment.
