Pediatric Social Work Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Social Work Manager to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a key member of our social work leadership team, you will be responsible for providing expert patient and family-centered care through clinical psychosocial assessment and intervention, including crisis response, individual, couples, family, group interventions, and short-term bereavement support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and staff management to pediatric clinical social work staff
  • Develop and implement programs to support pediatric patients and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams to provide expert patient and family-centered care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and agencies to support pediatric patients and families
  • Provide education and training to staff and community partners on pediatric social work best practices

Requirements:

  • Master of Social Work degree
  • 8 years of social work practice in healthcare, with a minimum of 2 years in oncology setting or with pediatric oncology patients
  • Clinical supervisory experience required
  • LICSW in MA (and state-specific based on location)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program or project experience
  • Bilingual a plus
