Taxonomy Specialist

Location:

Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid with min. 3 days onsite)

Pay Rate: $30/hr - $38/hr

Duration: 11 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Taxonomy Specialist to join our team at High 5. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in organizing and classifying information to enhance the overall efficiency and accessibility of data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive taxonomies for organizing and categorizing information across various domains.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand and document content relationships and hierarchies.
• Apply taxonomic principles to classify and tag data, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata application.
• Implement and enforce data classification standards to enhance data discoverability and retrieval.
• Conduct quality assessments on Taxonomies and implement best practices.
• Document processes, guidelines, and any issues encountered during the Taxonomy tasks.
• Collaborate with client teams and manage client relationships onshore.
• Facilitate coordination between client and the Genpact team.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Financial Statements and their interpretation.
• Good knowledge of financial and business terms.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in creating and maintaining Taxonomy in the Financial domain is an advantage.
• Expertise in MS Excel.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Finance / Commerce, MBA /Finance major preferred.
• BTech, preferably in computer science and data can also be considered.
