Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Systems Specialist to join our team at the City of The Dalles.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge and skills in wastewater collection operations, including experience with construction equipment and water treatment systems.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain equipment necessary for wastewater collection and treatment systems.
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled task assignments necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Collection Division.
  • Provide service assistance to the water distribution and transportation systems as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in wastewater/water technologies and wastewater system operations and maintenance desired.
  • Two years' experience in wastewater collection operations is preferred.
  • An Oregon Class II Wastewater Collection Operator certification or higher, or its reciprocal equivalent acceptable to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Certification Program.

We offer a competitive salary range of $57,068 - $77,403 depending on experience and qualifications, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
