At Bedstuy Early Childhood Development, we are dedicated to providing high-quality early education and family engagement services to children and their families. We seek an experienced Education Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners.

Job Summary:

The Education Site Manager is responsible for managing the assigned center, providing leadership, oversight, and supervision to ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to children and families. This includes maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as BSECDC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the assigned center, ensuring adequate staffing, compliance with group size and staff/child ratios, and provision of classroom assistance as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance: Collaborate with Facilities staff to maintain an up-to-date licensed facility, adhering to all NYC Department of Health regulations.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Coordinate with the Education Director and Coaches to support the implementation of program curricula, promoting children's learning and development across all developmental domains.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide ongoing staff supervision, training, and professional development to address staff needs, ensuring they implement all BSECDC policies and procedures.
  • Data Management: Support the use of technology and data management systems by staff, promoting efficiency, reliability, and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Performance Evaluations: Complete annual performance evaluations for all staff, establishing and monitoring goals for performance improvement and/or professional development.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Early Childhood Education with State Certification
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the classroom as a teacher of a group of preschoolers

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, verbal, reading, and writing skills, and cultural competency
  • Ability to administer screenings, assessments
  • Ability to assess the classroom environment using formal and informal observations, including the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS)

Salary Range: $88,871.38 - Competitive salary and benefits package offered.
