About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator - Precision Metal Fabricator to join our team at Yates Industries Inc.
Job Summary:
The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating precision metal cutting equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient production of high-quality metal parts. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate precision metal cutting equipment, including saws and cranes, to produce high-quality metal parts
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in production, meeting quality standards and productivity goals
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying and addressing any issues promptly
- Collaborate with production team members to achieve production targets and meet customer demands
- Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and improve productivity
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-5 years of experience in a job shop environment or related field
- Ability to read blueprints, use tape measures, and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
