Senior Painter

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Painter to join our team. As a Senior Painter, you will be responsible for performing senior-level functions in the Paint Shop, including installing or replacing floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and ceramic tiles.

• Executes operations of the Engineering department, inspecting and repairing walls, floors, and other surfaces.
• Installs or replaces floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and ceramic tiles, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Tapes and spackles new sheetrock walls, preparing them for painting or finishing.
• Prepares partition walls as per blueprints, applying tape, compound, and plaster as necessary.
• Applies vinyl, ceramic tile, paint, and other finishes to prepared walls, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Reconditions old ceilings, including sheetrock, plaster, and hanging ceilings.
• Paints new door bucks, finishes doors, and woodwork, preparing and painting cabinets and soffits as needed.
• Installs and/or finishes floor materials, including vinyl tiles and ceramics.
• Maintains daily operational documentation, ensuring all scheduled tasks are completed successfully.
• Repairs floors, ceilings, and walls due to water, fire, and storm damage, performing emergency repairs as needed.
• Oversees daily operations, ensuring a high level of quality and productivity.

• Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
