Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter Journeyman to join our team at Brown & Root Industrial Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray machines.
  • Prepare surfaces to receive coatings by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease from surfaces to be covered.
  • Remove old paint and wall coverings, fill and smooth over cracks and holes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of materials used to make paint and types of paints required for different materials, such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal.
Requirements:
  • Experience in painting and surface finishing.
  • Knowledge of paint materials and application techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
