Role Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Imaging Engineer with a specialization in MRI technology to become part of our team. This position entails the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of MRI imaging systems. You will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure the MRI systems function at peak performance, thereby facilitating exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain MRI imaging systems.
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, calibrations, and repairs on a variety of MRI equipment, including models from major manufacturers.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve MRI equipment issues utilizing remote diagnostics and testing protocols.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to guarantee equipment reliability and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Employ power tools and measurement instruments, along with service documentation, to execute maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with medical staff to understand their imaging requirements and provide specialized technical support.
- Stay informed about industry trends and integrate best practices in MRI system management.
- Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Consult with medical or research personnel to ensure equipment operates safely and effectively, leveraging knowledge of electronics and medical principles.
- Demonstrate proper equipment operation to medical staff.
- Provide training to end-users on the correct usage and maintenance of MRI systems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance aligns with current manufacturer specifications to uphold safety and performance standards.
- Perform specific duties related to the modality as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of MRI systems, particularly with expertise in leading MRI brands.
- Strong technical proficiency and understanding of MRI imaging technology.
- Skilled in using remote diagnostics and testing tools.
- Experience with MRI systems from various manufacturers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to various healthcare facilities.
Work Environment:
