About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookselling Manager to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our bookselling team and driving sales growth through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Bookselling Team: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team is equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer engagement, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Manage Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Develop and Implement Store Initiatives: Collaborate with the store leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that drive sales growth, improve customer engagement, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales growth and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of books, authors, and genres to provide expert recommendations and drive sales growth.
  • Operational Skills: Proven ability to manage store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, including sales growth, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
