We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Byrne Electrical Specialists in Rockford. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts within reasonable expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Read and process prints and sheets
  • Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks with accompanying paperwork
  • Identify and properly tag rejected parts
  • Understand and follow all ISO procedures
  • Assist with the training of new employees and follow company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, and accountability
  • Meet or exceed productivity requirements
  • Perform inspection processes and complete related production paperwork
  • Set up equipment or machines and perform simple adjustments and minor setup of some dies

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Read, learn, and follow training and written procedures
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Follow detailed instructions, inspection procedures, and product appearance
  • Work from engineering drawings and/or specifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Some lifting (not to exceed 50 lbs.)
  • Daily computer work
