  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair various vehicles and equipment, including major engine and transmission work.
  • Conduct significant electrical repairs, minor welding tasks, and perform maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and machinery.
  • Respond to major road calls and execute field repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure scales are calibrated and certified according to state regulations.
  • Maintain safe operation and secure all equipment.
  • Keep tools in proper working condition to perform job duties effectively.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and electronics, along with familiarity with related components.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of journeyman experience or a 2-year diesel mechanic certification is preferred.
  • A valid CDL is preferred, along with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must provide documentation proving eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
