Dishware Attendant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dishware Attendant to join our team at Palisades Tahoe Resort in Olympic Valley, California. This is a seasonal opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

As a Dishware Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dishwashing area. This includes washing and sanitizing tableware, kitchen equipment, and other items using industrial dishwashers and hand-washing delicate items when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and glassware in industrial dishwashers
• Hand-wash delicate items such as fine china and specialty cookware
• Restock tableware and supplies in service areas and kitchens
• Carry bus tubs from service areas to the dishwashing station
• Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean, neat, and well-stocked
• Maintain hallways free of obstructions and floors clean and dry
• Perform frequent trash removal and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

• Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and management
• Customer Service: A strong sense of customer service awareness to ensure excellent service to guests and staff
• Safety Awareness: Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and procedures
• Teamwork: Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time, and work effectively as part of a team

Educational Requirements:

• Food Handlers Card: Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card

The estimated salary for this position is $21/hour, which is competitive with industry standards for a seasonal dishware attendant in the region.
