Extracorporeal Circulation Specialist

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Extracorporeal Circulation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care in the form of operation of extracorporeal circulation equipment during medical situations where cardiopulmonary, circulatory, or respiratory function needs assistance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as chemistry and biology. They will also possess skills in operating extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow orders, take directions, and deploy written protocols is essential.
The salary for this position is estimated at $93,500 - $118,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits, 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and PTO accrual beginning Day 1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors altered circulatory processes and initiates appropriate action when abnormalities arise.
- Safely monitors, examines, and treats physiologic conditions under a physician's order.
- Ensures sterility and integrity of packaging of disposable equipment used and correct setup and breakdown of disposable and non-disposable equipment.
- Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.
