Job Title: Creative Design Associate

Job Summary:

SWIM USA, a leading designer and manufacturer of women's swimwear, is seeking a skilled Creative Design Associate to support the design team in developing elevated and market-appropriate swim and beachwear assortment for a global fashion brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create product designs based on specific internal and external customer requirements.
  • Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create CADs with color and print drops.
  • Update working line lists based on meetings and design team feedback.
  • Manage YPLM design-owned functions and review product development needs.
  • Design selling tools, including presentation boards and line sheets.
  • Follow a Time and Action calendar and maintain organized design notes.
  • Participate in print development and fittings, offering comments and suggestions.
  • Organize strike-offs for easy reference.
  • Research market trends and ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Director.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of experience as an Assistant Designer.
  • Strong sketching and illustration skills, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Fluency in YPLM systems and working knowledge of InDesign, Excel, and 3D design.
  • Strong fashion and color print sense, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.
