Job Title: Senior Cardiac Sonographer PART-TIME Outpatient Pediatrics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in a PART-TIME Outpatient Pediatrics role. As a Senior Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing and analyzing cardiac ultrasound testing, including M-mode, two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echocardiograms, and other specialized procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound testing, including M-mode, two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, TEE, stress echocardiograms, and other specialized procedures.
  • Supervise and train student sonographers, cardiac fellows, and residents.
  • Provide patient care and comfort, preparing equipment and supplies according to established departmental procedures.
  • Interact with patients, explaining procedures and equipment, and providing for patient privacy at all times.
  • Document echocardiograms according to departmental procedures, entering, maintaining, and recording all pertinent data.
  • Maintain equipment for proper function and safety, performing predetermined, preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Provide training to new sonographers, students, and other medical center personnel, instructing them in scanning techniques, instrumentation, review, and interpretation of echocardiograms.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree (Two years of college) and completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registered by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credential CCI Reg.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in echocardiography.
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required.
  • Maintain active registry status.
