Room Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Room Attendant. As a key member of our housekeeping team, your responsibilities will include ensuring that our rooms are clean and inviting at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain assigned rooms/suites to the highest standards, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking amenities.
  • Address guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
  • Perform daily tasks such as cleaning exterior entry areas, maintaining housekeeping carts, and bringing lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper's office.
  • Notify the Executive Housekeeper immediately of any out-of-the-ordinary situations in the guestrooms/suites.
  • Take laundry and dry-cleaning orders from guests and accommodate their special requests.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of the room/suite and maintain organized linen closets and supply areas.
  • Report any maintenance needs and handle guests' requests and/or complaints.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those contained in the employee handbook.
  • The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands.
Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and bend during the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to work independently.
