Job Summary:

Wellstar Paulding Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Mammography Interventional Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including mammography and stereotactic breast biopsies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures, ensuring accurate and precise imaging.
  • Position patients for optimal imaging, taking into account anatomical and pathological considerations.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining equipment in good working order.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT certification in radiography and mammography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a mammography technologist, with at least 1 year of experience in stereotactic breast biopsy procedures.
