Position Overview
As a Clinical Applications Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting on-site clinical assessments for both new and existing clients to showcase the application of our products and services, thereby enhancing the utilization of IGS (Image Guided Surgery) technologies.
- Providing expert consulting and support to surgeons and operating room teams, facilitating problem-solving during procedures to optimize surgical efficiency.
- Leading the installation process and ensuring operational effectiveness at customer locations.
- Training and educating medical staff, including surgeons, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical, and IT personnel, on the effective use of our surgical solutions.
- Leveraging your engineering knowledge to suggest improvements and modifications to enhance product quality.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining regular communication to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for service contracts and upgrades.
- Collaborating with the Account Manager to identify customer needs and initiate sales opportunities.
- Addressing product-related issues through thorough analysis and application of engineering expertise.
- Staying informed about new developments in Brainlab's offerings and competitive products through continuous education and research.
- Participating in annual continuing education for surgical practices and maintaining product knowledge.
- Promoting our surgical products and services at industry trade shows.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Performing additional duties as necessary.
- Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a technical support capacity within the healthcare sector is preferred.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC software applications.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with a proven ability to make independent decisions.
