At Veritas Steel, we're a leading manufacturer of bridge components, and we're seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy steel, grinding operations, and repairs. They must be able to meet high production demands and complete high-quality work with expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all fitting operations, including grinding, repairs, and miscellaneous tasks assigned
  • Meet high production demands promptly and complete high-quality work with expertise
  • Work alongside and learn from experienced steel fitters
  • Drill, install high-strength bolts, and grind steel components
  • Produce fillet and groove welds using the SMAW, SAW, and FCAW processes
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Participate in continual improvement activities
  • Read and interpret blueprints

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to read metric tapes
  • Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances and operate equipment using standardized methods
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals in the workplace
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities, communicate with diverse groups, meet deadlines and schedules, work as part of a team, and work with constant interruptions during the workday
  • Ability to deal effectively with time pressures, long hours, rapidly changing priorities, and stress

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other possible hazardous conditions
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; a respirator is required for specific operations

Compensation details: $18-$20.93 Hourly Wage
