Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process prior authorization requests for medications, utilizing established criteria and guidelines to make coverage determinations.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to gather complex clinical information and render coverage determinations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of prior authorization requests.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex clinical and regulatory issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and updates to ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacist licensure in good standing.
  • 6+ months of experience in customer service or customer relations with healthcare professionals.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work 5am-12 midnight, including flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.
