We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at COST of Wisconsin, Inc. As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, repairs, and performing fleet and safety inspections on motorized vehicles, small engines, and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and Inspection: Perform repairs and inspections on equipment, including brakes, engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, ignitions, air and exhaust systems, and axle assemblies.
- Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Analyze and diagnose equipment problems, and recommend and implement the best and most cost-effective means of repair or replacement.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Communication and Collaboration: Respond to internal users of equipment and vehicles, explaining proper maintenance and repair plans, and triaging reported problems for appropriate scheduling of repair and routine maintenance.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D.; two years or more of technical auto mechanic training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Mechanical aptitude and experience; ability to drive a forklift; computer skills; ability to operate various trucks and light, medium, and heavy equipment and tools; hand tools, automotive lifts, and other hydraulic equipment; welding skills; significant attention to safety standards, procedures, and practices.

- Work Environment: Exposed to typical noises and smells associated with the production environment, such as exposure to fumes or airborne particles and production machinery. Noise level is moderate to loud.
