Job Summary:

The Day Program Instructor will provide high-quality support and advocacy to our clients, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centered care and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support clients with vocational activities, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide transportation for clients, ensuring their safe and timely arrival and departure.
  • Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes, working collaboratively with the care team.
  • Document client progress and provide regular updates to supervisors.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a California Driver's License.
  • Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid / CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
