Job Responsibilities
As a Process Engineer at Bayport Laboratories, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in our cosmetic products. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for cosmetics, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and safety.
Collaborating with R&D and product development teams to scale up new products from lab to production.
Designing and implementing equipment and process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Conducting process validation and qualification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Identifying and troubleshooting process issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Developing and maintaining process documentation, including SOPs and batch records.
Providing technical support to production and quality teams, ensuring smooth operations and product quality.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in process engineering in the cosmetics or personal care product industry.
Strong knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
Experience with process scale-up and technology transfer from lab to production.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bilingual in Spanish.
