We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team at PSG Global Solutions Careers. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding components together using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical documents and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- 0-2 years of welding experience required.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG).
- Knowledge and experience with MIG welding.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
- Deftness and attention to detail.
- Professional certification is a plus (welding certificate).
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads up to 50lbs.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers to perform duties and responsibilities successfully.
- Specific vision abilities required to perform duties and responsibilities successfully.
