Job Summary
Pursue a challenging opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Texas children and families as a Policy Fellow for Mental Health at Texans Care for Children. This 20-month fellowship offers a unique chance to advance policies that improve access to quality mental health services.

About the Role
The Policy Fellow will work closely with the Director of Health Policy and the health policy team to undertake policy analysis, draft policy briefs and outreach materials, participate in coalition meetings, and advocate during the legislative session. Key responsibilities include providing key policy support, contributing to team efforts on legislation, participating in coalitions and forums, writing policy analysis and testimony, and tracking and analyzing state legislation.

Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Master's degree in public policy, social work, or a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of policies and programs for families and children related to health coverage and mental health systems, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong writing, research, and data analysis skills, and demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse stakeholders.

Benefits
This full-time position comes with an annual salary of $55,000, plus excellent benefits, including employer-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance, retirement matching contributions, paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time leave.
