Retail Associate I - Part Time

Position Overview

Starting Pay rate is $17/hour

The Retail Associate I plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, efficiently managing the checkout process, and ensuring that products are well-merchandised and stocked.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through all interactions within the store.
  • Accurately manage checkout procedures, including weighing items, bagging purchases, and processing promotional coupons. Maintain records of prices, department subtotals, taxable items, and total purchases on the cash register.
  • Ensure cash drawer balancing is executed flawlessly, including reconciling at the end of each shift.
  • Keep shelves stocked appropriately and maintain the presentation of merchandise. Ensure pricing accuracy for all products.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 3 months of retail experience is preferred; experience in the food service industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work according to the department's needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
