Caregiver / Cook

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Cook to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and emotional condition, ensuring timely interventions and support.
• Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and adhering to protocols.
• Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Support residents with memory care needs, using person-centered approaches and creative strategies.
• Ensure resident rights are respected at all times, promoting dignity and autonomy.

The ideal candidate should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• Cooking and meal preparation, with a focus on healthy and nutritious options.
• Medication management and administration, with a strong understanding of protocols and procedures.
• Behavior management and support, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
• Memory care and dementia support, with a focus on person-centered approaches and creative strategies.
• Working with people with developmental disabilities, with a strong emphasis on inclusion and respect.
• Senior care and gerontology, with a focus on promoting independence and dignity.
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs, with a strong emphasis on safety and comfort.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and tracking, with a focus on early intervention and support.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment, with a strong emphasis on infection control and safety.

• Weekend part-time shifts, with a focus on providing flexible and responsive care.
• Weekend day shift, 7:00am to 7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday.
• Weekend night shift, 7:00pm to 7:30am, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Caregiving experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

CPR Certification is preferred, but not required.

Garland, TX 75040 is the preferred location for this position.
