About the Role:

The Employee Benefits Account Manager will support the Employee Benefits Producer and Marketing Account Executive by marketing and servicing new and renewal business. This role requires knowledge of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting and legislative changes to maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships.
  • Assist clients and teammates with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem-solving.
  • Work with Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients.
  • Prepare marketing information and provide required information to a marketing person.
  • Schedule and conduct teammate meetings in coordination with Marketing Account Executive or Producer.
  • Prepare and deliver all applicable forms to clients.
  • Become proficient in the client management system(s) to update policies, log activities, and document client meetings.
  • Provide administrative support on other tasks as requested.
  • Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay up-to-date on new products and legislative changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • 3-5 years of employee benefits experience.
  • Life & Health license.
  • Strong client relations skills and demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
