Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Cutter Operator to join our team in a food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the receiving operations area during a shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate cut quality to maximize recovery and throughput.
  • Ensure all GMP and PPE policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist in training existing and new team members in equipment LOTO and operations.
  • Give direction to team members in and around the cutter bay area.
  • Perform hourly checks and logs of cutter area equipment.
  • Observe production processes to detect issues and minimize and/or eliminate losses.
  • Assist cutter tech assistants with cutter setups for accuracy.
  • Make cutter head adjustments and changes when needed.
  • Troubleshoot poor cutter performance to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a frozen food manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of food manufacturing experience.
  • 6 months in an operator/lead type role.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work as a team.
