Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming patient calls in a professional manner, utilizing established protocols to gather essential information.
  • Assess the primary reason for the patient's call and facilitate timely appointment scheduling, ensuring same-day visits for urgent medical concerns whenever feasible.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of practice schedules and preferences to optimize patient care.
  • Document all interactions accurately in the electronic medical record system, ensuring efficient communication with practice staff and providers.
  • Deliver exceptional service to patients, fostering a respectful and positive work atmosphere.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including confirmation calls and prescription refills in accordance with established protocols.
  • Coordinate scheduling for COVID tests and vaccinations as per guidelines.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a call center environment, particularly within healthcare, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Athena and Meditech systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance products, and benefits coordination is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient experience.
  • A creative, flexible, and self-motivated approach to work.
