Calspan stands at the forefront of providing innovative ground-based testing solutions tailored for the aerospace sector. We are in search of a dedicated Controls/PLC Engineer to enhance our team. In this role, you will take charge of the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of control systems, software, and data acquisition frameworks utilized in aerospace ground testing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electronic subsystems for various testing environments, including test cells and wind tunnels.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering tasks while adhering to budget constraints.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with established quality standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and installation teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to the formulation of proposals for prospective projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls, electronics, or data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with automation or data acquisition systems in an industrial context.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW or PLCs is highly advantageous.
- Strong background in PLC and software programming is preferred.
