Position Overview:

  • Deliver instruction in the Intensive English Program (IEP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) curriculum.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and skills coordination sessions.
  • Administer the Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT).
  • Undergo evaluations by Skills Coordinators and/or Teaching Coordinators.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree is mandatory.
  • Master's Degree for Instructor rank, Bachelor's for Assistant Instructor, Doctorate for Assistant Professor.
  • Preferred experience in TESOL or a related discipline.
  • Outstanding English communication skills.
  • Experience engaging with international students is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience outside of the United States.
  • Experience with ESL in higher education settings.
