Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at MyMichigan Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care to patients using the nursing process, assessing their needs and providing interventions to treat their symptoms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, education, and responding to alarms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make suggestions for updates or revisions in collaboration with other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital-specific policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire or transfer.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire or transfer.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Dysrhythmia Interpretation and Management (DIMC) certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM ADVANCED) certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification.
  • BSN degree preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to stressful situations and potentially infectious materials. The ability to lift or carry 21-50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently is also required.
