Job Description

This Diagnostic Cardiology Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience with setting up and adjusting imaging equipment, implementing safety standards, and recognizing significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Sonography Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
Responsibilities

This role includes:

  • Performing routine and complex studies and assisting in a variety of imaging procedures
  • Positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department
