We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Johnson County. As a Correctional Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to inmates in a secure and controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to inmates, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a correctional setting or comparable clinical environment.
- Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations governing the practice of nursing in a correctional setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in a leadership or management role.
- Certification in a specialty area, such as correctional nursing or emergency nursing.
